Hair loss is a major cause of appearance anxiety for many men, and it’s extremely common. If you are losing your hair, you are definitely not alone. By the age of 35, about two-thirds of American men will have measurable hair loss and by the age of 50, 85 percent will have visibly thinning hair to some degree. In extreme cases, complete baldness can occur even before that age. The medical professionals at Delaware Hair Restoration take the unique situation of every client into consideration when recommending treatment options. Depending on the specific factors of your hair loss, you could be a candidate for injectable treatments or you might be a better candidate for a treatment such as a neograft Hair Transplant. No matter, which option is best for you, Delaware Hair Restoration will help you every step of the way.

Injectable Solutions

Injectable hair restoration treatments reignite dormant or damaged hair follicles. Usually done in a series of three, Delaware Hair Restoration clients see very good results from these injectable procedures. During the treatment, your provider will take your blood, run it through a medical decvice called a centrifuge and inject the solution deep into the scalp to reach the bottom of the hair follicle. These treatments have been used for years in the medical community and is a great option for reigniting hair follicles.

Neograft Hair Transplant

Neograft FUE hair transplants can help restore your natural hair with a one-day procedure that has minimal downtime. The Neograft treatment is a great option for both men and women experiencing thinning hair, traction alopecia, bald spots and receding hair lines. During a Neograft procedure, individual follicles are removed from areas of the head where the hair is thickest (called the donor area) and transplanted one-by-one to the areas where hair has been lost. While it might sound like individually transplanting thousands of hairs would take forever, in the hands of a skilled Delaware Hair Restoration technician, you’ll be amazed at how quickly the procedure can be completed. Delaware Hair Restoration offers prescription Formula 82M which contains minoxidil, anti-inflammatory agents, tretinoin and various other ingredients to regrow lost hair and stop hair loss in its tracks. Formula 82F includes the same ingredients as Formula 82M but includes the additional ingredient of Finasteride. Finasteride is not approved for hair loss in women and is available by prescription for men only. Steps in the Neograft Treatment

The Neograft machine, developed by Venus Concept, makes the procedure quick and completely safe. It also takes the guesswork out of the implantation procedure by tracking the number of follicles transplanted from and to each area. As another major benefit, both the procedure and recovery time are much quicker with FUE hair transplants over traditional hair transplantation methods. While this will vary from patient to patient, depending largely upon the number of follicles that need to be transplanted, a Neograft procedure can take as little as five hours.

1. Carefully Planning Your Hair Line

The Delaware Hair Restoration team takes great care in discussing and planning your new hair line. This process takes into account multiple factors to achieve the most natural result such as your own opinions, age, ethnicity, shape of your head, hair texture and current hairline.

2. Extraction of Hair Follicles

During the extraction part of the procedure, hair follicles are removed from the donor region (the area in the back of the head, below the crown, above the neck, because these areas are vey unlikely to incur hair thinning. Fun fact... each hair follicle can contain one to three hairs growing from it! The neograft device gently removes individual hair follicle using suction, one follicle at a time.

3. Counting. Trimming and Sorting of Grafts

After the hair follicles are extracted, the Delaware Hair Restoration team will carefully separate them by size. Therefore, the follicles with a single hair growing from them are grouped up and the follicles with two hairs are grouped up and so on. This prepareation work is extremely important in regards to your final result and will contribute to achieving a very natural appearing result.

4. Recipient Site Creation

Using roper depth and angulation, each individual implantation site is carefully created. These areas will be the new homes of your extracted grafts. Based on how many grafts you need, this important step can create hundreds to thousands implantation sites.

5. Placement of the Hair Grafts

Each individual hair follicle will be implanted into the newly created recipient sites to achieve the most natural result. Your skilled technician along with the high-tech neograft machine uses the appropriate depth and angulation to ensure the maximum number of grafts are viably transplanted and to ultimately deliver the most natural looking result. Hair grows at different angles depending on its location on the scalp. This factor, along with the quantity of hairs in each follicle, are carefully taken into account when transplanting to your new hair line.

6. Follow Up and After Care

The Delaware Hair Restoration team will closely follow your after care to guide you into complete recovery. After a period of one to five weeks, the initially transplanted grafts will shed (or fall out). Not to worry! This is all part of the normal process and over the next few months; you can be assured that the new hairs will grow. neograft procedures have an extremely high satisfaction rate and the patients that trust in Delaware Hair Restoration with their procedures are extremely happy with their results.
